Abstract

The Child-Friendly City (CFC) is one of the policies developed by Yogyakarta City government to fulfill children’s rights by involving the role of stakeholders. Its implementation, however, has not optimally involve stakeholders, especially in conducting socialization and supporting the facilities to fulfill of children's rights. As the main implementers of the regional development, they must play an active role in accelerating the CFC. Thus, stakeholder mapping in the implementation of CFC policies is important to be analyzed in order to figure out the stakeholders’ interests as the basis for uniting all efforts in realizing Yogyakarta City’s Grand Design as a child-friendly city. A qualitative method with a case study research strategy was employed to analyze the stakeholders’ implementation of this policy. The result of the stakeholder mapping showed that as the key player, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) needs to strengthen the role of coordination in synergy and integration to develop stakeholders’ potential and interests in the context setter, subject and crowd categories. Furthermore, the Yogyakarta City Government needs to carry out stakeholder engagement from the technical aspect to expand support in achieving the CFC target. Therefore, strengthening collaboration and stakeholder interest in CFC policies need to be implemented as a strategic step for the government in accelerating the CFC development according to the target set as the common goal.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to incite the awareness of the government and stakeholders on the environmental carrying capacity of the sustainable tourism sector and the supervision of the development of facilities and infrastructure that are environmentally sound and provide added economic value to the development of local communities. Qualitative research methods are used in data collection by conducting direct visits to research sites, direct interviews with the tourism office of Raja Ampat Regency, tourism management communities, tour guides and homestay managers with research locations on Misool Island, Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo Raja Regency. Ampat. The study results explain that a marine tourism location is vulnerable to coral and environmental damage caused by overexploitation; it requires strict supervision and supervision from all parties as well as binding regulations so that the carrying capacity of Raja Ampat is well maintained and sustainable. The construction of facilities and infrastructure must be planned and supervised to achieve green development in determining tourist locations, homestay building locations, development processes and environmentally friendly materials. Communities need to be empowered with funding assistance and operational management training for marine tourism and homestay management, using local wisdom in maintaining ecotourism sustainability

Abstract

The hydrogen production was studied using Scenedesmus sp. by PHM-S media under anaerobic and photosynthesis process. The Investigated of hydrogen gas using by Natural Gas Analyzer (NGA): HP (Hewlett Packard) 6890 with a molecular sieve 5A (CH4, O2. N2, H2) a thermal conductivity detector is used in a mesh-packed column. The results show highest value of hydrogen production in second experiment. It was obtained because the second experiment had longer for incubation time so the photosynthesis process was took longer then algae could produce more hydrogen gas. Interestingly, the hydrogen does not produce within a certain timeframe. We believe that this was related to the reaction enzymatic in algae that was mostly induced by the oxygen, an inhibitor of the hydrogenate enzyme, was reduced during anaerobic adaptation, resulting in an increase in hydrogen production.

Abstract

Collaborative learning is made possible through the use of technological communication networks, which provide information sharing places to encourage teamwork. There is a growing trend in colleges across Spain and Latin America, especially in Mexico, to use social networks, one of the most emblematic Web 2.0 tools, to teach students about the history and appeal of the Internet. There was a research done with 414 students from the 14 majors provided at the University of Guadalajara's Los Altos University Center to investigate the efficacy of social networking as a means of education. Seventy-one percent of respondents said they use them for school-related activities; 45 percent use them to study; and 42 percent use them to play, all of which highlights the growing role and influence that social networks are playing in the classroom.

Abstract

The presence of constructivism philosophy brought significant changes in learning in the classroom, especially the paradigm shift in learning, namely the paradigm of teacher centre to the student centre. Students are encouraged to use all of their abilities constructively by building meaning according to their understanding. This has also brought changes in the learning process, where teachers only act as facilitators, mediators and motivators who help active learners with their knowledge. One of the constructivism-based learning models is Contextual Teaching and Learning, which tries to link the material students learn with their real lives to find meaning.

Abstract

Social interaction employs both verbal and nonverbal language. We investigate the confidence level and brain activity when verbal and facial expressions are inconsistent. Four volunteers stored images of eight individuals whose facial expressions were either agradáveis (smiling) or unfavorable (rejection) sozinhas or in combination with a verbal expression [positive / negative]. As a measure of their trust, the participants were asked to make a donation to the individual in the photograph who was in financial distress. The Visual Analogue Scale was utilized to evaluate positive feelings and self-assurance levels (VAS). After seeing the photos, Event Related Potentials (ERPs) are acquired in 170–240 milliseconds. Standardized low-resolution electromagnetic brain tomography was used to pinpoint brain activity under incongruous situations (sLORETA). The VAS values for the positive condition smile were substantially greater than those for the other conditions (p 0.05). For inconsistency between verbal and facial responses, namely the smiling negative condition, the offer was severely reduced. Under discordant conditions, the parietal lobe was more active on EEG than under congruent conditions. Incongruence [negative smile] evoked less positive emotion, confidence, and offer quantity. Our findings indicate that incongruent sensory input increased activity in the parietal lobe, which may be a result of mentalization.

Abstract

To meet the nutritional needs of the people of Jakarta, urban agriculture is one of the food supply solutions. This study analyzes community expectations for participation in sustainable urban agriculture in Jakarta. The latest developments of this study provide results on the impact of economic, health and environmental variables on people's expectations for the sustainability of urban agriculture in Jakarta. The novelty of this study is that it considers the theme of the study, namely the inhabitants of the city of Jakarta, engaged in urban agriculture, a total of 112 respondents. The results of this study indicate that economic, health and environmental variables, simultaneously or in part, positively influence the expectations of community involvement in the sustainability of urban agricultural activities in the city of Jakarta. Based on these findings, it can be said that the expectation of community engagement in sustainable urban agriculture in Jakarta translates into greater productivity, knowledge, skills, awareness and understanding of the existence of clear regulations. The corrected R-square value is 0.704 based on the results of the coefficients that determine the impact of economic, health and environmental factors on community participation expectations in the sustainability of urban agriculture in Jakarta. In other words, 70.4% of community participation expectations in urban agriculture depend on economic factors, while health and other environmental factors depend on other factors. Expectations for community involvement in sustainable urban agriculture are already high and Jakarta's food security can be ensured later.
